Event Details

The UT Arboretum Society will present an educational program about owls on Thursday, November 7, at 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the UT Arboretum Auditorium in Oak Ridge. This is a free program but pre-registration is required. Please note this is an indoor presentation; it is not a hike.

Park Ranger Monica Johnson of the Cumberland Mountain State Park will bring live owls to meet up close and personal. Johnson has over 17 years’ experience in the park system and she has been a park ranger for over 10 years. She will talk about owls and the educational raptor and rehabilitation program at Cumberland Mountain State Park. The event will help support the program to rescue and rehabilitate injured owls at the park. Donations are appreciated and welcome. 

The program is free but attendance is limited to 100, so pre-registration is required. Please register with the number of people in your group.
