Grab a warm coat and lace up your boots! Manhattan Project National Historical Park will be hosting a hike with a ranger along the North Boundary Greenway in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on Saturday, November 27th at 10:00 am (ET).
The hike will begin at East Quarry Road Trailhead. Along the hike, rangers will discuss the settlements that pre-dated Oak Ridge. The hike passes multiple pre-Oak Ridge homesites and a limestone quarry. This 2.5-mile hike is on a former gravel road with a mild elevation gain of 150ft.
Visitors are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear and bring drinking water. East Quarry Road Trailhead is located on the northside of the Oak Ridge Parkway between Wisconsin Avenue and Sweetgum Lane in Oak Ridge Tennessee.
