Event Details

The Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge is hosting “Mud” – A Photographic Exhibition of Life in the Secret City.  The exhibit is currently open and available for viewing through the month of February in the museum’s Imagination Gallery. On Sunday, February 19 there will be a special “Mud Mural” program from 1-4 pm ET, targeted at ages 6-12, where museum visitors are invited to participate in painting a collaborative mural of a landscape of historic and present-day Oak Ridge landmarks using mud-based paint.

The Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge is located 461 W Outer Dr, Oak Ridge, TN 37830 and will be open Tuesdays through Sundays.  For more information, please call Manhattan Project National Historical Park at (865) 482-1942.

The Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge has several activities focusing on the exhibit during the month of February.  Visitors can pick up a copy of the “Mud Hunt Activity Guide” in the Imagination Gallery and take a closer look through all the photos to find answers to this guided scavenger hunt.  The Museum’s voting booth is also back for this photography exhibit.  Visitors are encouraged to cast their vote for their favorite photo from the photo exhibit.
