The Winter Farmers’ Market by Grow Oak Ridge is open December through March, Saturdays 10 AM to 1 PM. The market is a wonderful weekend activity for visitors and residents alike. With 30+ farmers, bakers and artisan crafters each weekend, the market offers 100% locally grown produce, eggs, artisan breads and pastries, food trucks and locally roasted coffee, and an indoor eating area. It has a free children’s program called Power of Produce Club, in which kids take 2 bites of a vegetable, and get $2 to spend on fruits and veggies in the market. The market accepts SNAP market-wide, and doubles benefits for fresh fruits and vegetables up to $20 per week.
